Forklifts are commonly used in warehouse applications and typically there are charging stations for this type of equipment. When batteries are being re-charged, they generate hydrogen gas that is explosive in certain concentrations in air. Ventilation systems can exchange an adequate amount of fresh air for the number of batteries being charged. This is essential to prevent an explosion. A hazardous gas detection system is necessary to monitor these conditions on a continuous basis.
